Welcome to JGH Justice Alliance LLC

About

Founded in 2024 by Dr. Janet Garcia-Hallett and led by a passion for justice and equity, JGH Justice Alliance LLC offers research consultation and speaking engagements on the critical issues surrounding parental incarceration.  It provides insightful research and actionable strategies to support and uplift women who have been directly impacted by the criminal legal system. This work is deeply informed by the founder's book, Invisible Mothers: Unseen Yet Hypervisible after Incarceration (University of California Press, 2022), which explores the profound and often invisible struggles faced by system-impacted mothers.

Mission Statement

JGH Justice Alliance LLC is dedicated to making a meaningful impact on the lives of those affected by parental incarceration. The organization's mission is to shine a light on the often-overlooked challenges faced by system-impacted women and their family members, and to advocate for change through research, dialogue, and community engagement.
